Philips HeartStart FR3 Defibrillation Electrode Pads are general purpose pads for use with Philips (and Laerdal) HeartStart FR3 AEDs.

They replace the electrode pads you originally received with your Philips Heartstart FR3 AED.

Unlike real electrodes that must be replaced after use, training electrodes can be used to your heart’s content to simulate the defibrillation process. However, you may find after they have been used hundreds of times they may lose the sticky adhesive used to attach them to the manikin.

Training electrodes must be attached to the manikin in order for the training unit to simulate the rest of the process, mirroring how a defibrillator operates in a real life emergency. You will find that having a replacement set of electrodes is incredibly useful.

Training electrodes are an important tool that allow learners to gain an awareness of the correct positioning on the casualty’s chest.
