Nabertherm Rotary Kiln 1100°C, Models RSRC 80-500/11 - RSRC 120-1000/11
The rotary kilns of the RSRC series are particularly suitable for processes in which continuously passing charge material is heated for a short time.
The rotary kiln is tilted slightly and brought to the target temperature. The material is then continuously fed in at the upper end of the tube. It passes through the heated area of the tube and falls out of the tube at the lower end. The time of heat treatment is determined by the angle of inclination, the speed of rotation and the length of the working tube, as well as by the flow properties of the batch material.
Equipped with the optionally available closed charging system for 5 litres of charge material incl. collecting container, the rotary kiln can also be used for processes under protective gas or vacuum atmospheres.
Depending on the process, batch and required maximum temperature, different working tubes made of quartz glass, ceramic or metal are used. These rotary kilns can thus be adapted very flexibly for different purposes.
- Tmax 1100 °C
- Working tube made of quartz glass, open on both sides
- Thermocouple type K
- Heating elements freely radiating on support tubes
- Housing made of textured stainless steel sheets
- Infinitely variable drive from approx. 2-45 rpm
- Digital display for the angle of inclination of the rotary kiln
- Very easy removal due to beltless drive and hinged oven housing (opening temperature < 180 °C)
- Compact system, oven mounted on base frame with
- manual spindle drive, with crank for presetting the inclination angle
- Controller and switchgear integrated
- Transport rollers
- NTLog Basic for Nabertherm controller: recording of process data with USB stick
Additional equipment
- Three-zone control to optimise temperature uniformity
- Display of temperature in working tube with measurement via additional thermocouple
- Batch control via additional thermocouple in the working tube
- Different gas supply systems with good flushing of the batch with process gas in counterflow (only in combination with charging system see below)
- Non-return valve at the gas outlet prevents ingress of false air
- Vacuum version, depending on the pump used, up to 10 -2 mbar
- Feeding system for continuous material feed, consisting of:
- Stainless steel feed hopper incl. electric vibration generator for optimising material feed into the working tube
- Electrically driven screw conveyor at the inlet of the working tube with a pitch of 10, 20 or 40 mm and adjustable speed between 0.28 and 6 revolutions/minute, gear reductions or ratios for other speed ranges on request
- Collection bottle made of laboratory glass at the outlet of the working tube
- Suitable for operation under gas atmosphere or vacuum
- Working tubes made of different materials
- Batch reactors made of quartz glass, Tmax 1100 °C
- Electric linear drive to adjust the angle of inclination
- Higher temperatures up to 1600 °C are available on request
- PLC control for temperature control and control of the connected aggregates, e.g. switching and speed of the screw conveyor, speed of the working tube, switching of the vibration generator, etc.
- Process control and documentation via VCD software package or Nabertherm Control Center NCC for monitoring, documentation and control.
3-zone version on request!
