ActivHeal® Foam Non-Adhesive is a versatile dressing developed to offer protection and absorbency on moderate to heavily exuding wounds.

It’s three- layer construction offers a low friction backing, soft highly absorbent foam and a perforated wound contact layer. This non-adhesive dressing is ideal when reducing trauma is a key part of the wound dressing regime; and its soft and flexible properties mean patients can wear it underneath clothing with comfort and confidence. The ActivHeal® Foam Non-Adhesive range offers a variety of shapes and sizes including; the ActivHeal® Foam Heel dressing, a two layer, soft pre-moulded dressing, specifically designed to apply easily to the heel and other anatomical areas. The ActivHeal® Foam Tracheostomy two layer dressing which features a versatile fenestration, allowing it to fit neatly around a tracheostomy tube, intubation tube, cannula insertion, external bone fixators and appropriately sized wound drainage tubes.

CELOX STOPS SEVERE TRAUMATIC BLEEDING.

In a meta-analysis within a combat setting, where minimising treatment time was highly desirable, Celox Gauze outperformed the other haemostatic agents tested, and was the only one to demonstrate a statistically significant improvement in survival, including in the more severely injured.

Of 3,792 cases, a haemostatic dressing was applied in 317 (either Celox, Hemcon or QuikClot). When comparing patients who had a haemostatic dressing applied versus no haemostatic agent, there was a 7% improvement in survival.

Celox was the only individual hemostatic dressing that was associated with a statistically significant improvement in survival, which was most apparent in the more severely injured (NISS 36–75).

Independent comparative tests in the form of a meta-analysis reported a statistically significant improvement in survival with Celox Gauze, compared to alternative agents.

Product Description

Softdrape universal aseptic dressing pack provides you with a one pack solution to effective wound management. Cost effective and strategically designed, the pack supports non-touch technique thus minimising the risk of infection.

Instructions

1. Open pack onto the clinically clean work surface.
2. Clean hands with soap and water.
3. Carefully open outer wrap to create sterile field.
4. Put an apron on.
5. Put hand into the bag to arrange contents.
6. Keep hand in the bag to remove the old dressing.
7. Invert and secure the waste bag.
8. Hand wash according to company policy.
9. Apply sterile gloves from the pack.
10. Cleanse and dress wound according to local policy.
11. Fold up sterile field and place in waste bag.
12. Seal waste bag to dispose of accordingly.
13. Clean hands with soap and water.
