Accuris offers magnetic tip combs, deep well plates, and 6-well sample strips designed to fit the IsoPure™ Mini. Produced using virgin polypropylene and packaged in a sterile environment, these consumables are guaranteed to be contaminant-free. The patented XQ Instruments MCF-13 Microcapper automates the attaching of screw caps on microtubes or vials. It increases lab productivity, occupational health & safety and process integrity.

Programming via Android™ App or PC Software
Creating a protocol is simple using the IsoPure app or PC software, both are included on a USB flash drive with each instrument. When using the IsoPure app on an Android device, the saved protocols can be transferred to the instrument via Bluetooth connection or by using the included barcode scanner. QR Code Scanning System

Sample Temperature Control
Heating sample mixtures during the lysis and elution steps can significantly improve results. Heating strips on the sample platform can be precisely set to any temperature between ambient +5°C to 120°C. Both deep well plates and 6-well reagent vessels fit into the contoured heating strips for efficient heat transfer. Two cooling fans maintain ambient temperature inside the housing and temperature of the heating strips.
Connection Ports
The IsoPure™ Mini can store up to 100 protocol files in internal memory. These can be transferred between instruments or to a computer for storage or sharing. Simply insert the included flash drive to export the selected files. Internal protocol management can be done via the instrument touch screen, or by using the included mouse.
UV Sterilization
An ultraviolet sterilization lamp (UVC) inside the processing chamber provides effective elimination of most bacterial, viral and stray genomic DNA contaminants. This additional safeguard reduces the possibility of contamination and downstream amplification of unwanted targets.
Touch-Screen Control Panel
The control panel on top of the IsoPure™ Mini allows for quick selection of stored protocols and instrument control. Heads and Disks
The dispensing heads are interchangeable to enable quick processing of several materials with different dose size and no cross-contamination without cleaning steps.
The dispensing disks (the dosing element) are calibrated for a specific dose size as per customer specifications. With the calibrated dispensing disk this dose or selectable multiples of it (up to 99x) can be dispensed. One shot takes 3.5 seconds.
Selecting multiple doses allows to dispense different dose sizes from the same dispensing disk-head, as long as they have a common denominator (resulting in an effect of resolution relative to target doses). However, with multiple doses dispensing time will increase and there can be a stack up error.
To change the single dose values, or switch to a material with different bulk density, the dispensing disk in the dispensing head needs to be swapped with one corresponding to the new value. This takes only a few seconds. Users might have a range of disks available for different materials and dose sizes. Additional disks to new specifications can be ordered from XQ Instruments at any time; e.g., when requirements change.
For switching instantly between materials and dose sizes it can be advantageous to have several heads at disposal in order to swap without the need of clearing out the material and no risk of cross-contamination. The dispensing heads in stand-by can be temporarily stored with material inside (ideally in a dry chamber). Such additional heads with calibrated disks are available as accessories.

For small doses, the smaller dispensing heads are not more precise than the large ones. On the contrary, the large dispensing head can cope best with challenging materials in small doses. Therefore, it is the typical choice for the larger benchtop SDB-1. For the more compact form factor of the handheld SDH-1 the small and medium size head would be usually selected, even though the large head will also fit. The SDB-2 comes with its own XL head.

The XQ Instruments SDH-1 handheld Solids Dispenser can dispense calibrated volumetric doses (and multiples) of powders in a highly precise and repeatable fashion.
The standard SDH-1, with small dispensing head, comes with 10 volumetric dispensing disks (the dosing element) covering the dose volume range of 2.5mm³-300mm³.
Additional dispensing disks can be supplied which are calibrated precisely to specific dose volumes. A calibration certificate is provided.
Note: The Medium-sized dispensing head does not come with the standard disk set. The small or large head should be selected if a single calibrated disk is not being selected. Also, if an order is placed and no calibration information is sent to PSTG Supplies, the default disk selection will be the standard disk set.
