The Rydel-Seiffer tuning fork for neurologists from KaWe can be used to detect early damage to the nervous system or even hearing damage. Due to its removable dampers, it can produce two frequencies - c128 and c64 Hz. The patient's vibration sensation can be objectively measured by means of the scaling on the back of the dampers.
The tuning fork has a material thickness of approx. 8 mm and a length of approx. 24 cm. It is made of steel and nickel-plated. It also has a plastic base.
The tuning fork for otologists from KaWe is used to examine the air and bone conduction of sound. For example, Weber or Rinne tests can be performed using the tuning fork in order to localize hearing damage.
