Usbeck Teclub burner, gas tap, pilot flame, air regulation

The Usbeck Teclub burner, gas tap, pilot flame, air regulation is ideal for laboratory applications where a reliable gas flame with precise adjustment is required. Compared to conventional burners, it offers an extremely controllable heat supply thanks to its combination of pilot flame and finely adjustable air supply. If you are looking for maximum precision and reliability for demanding experiments, you should favour this burner.

Design and mode of operation

This laboratory burner impresses with a conically widened tube at the bottom, which ensures optimum air intake. The air volume can be finely adjusted using a threaded regulating disc so that the flame intensity can be flexibly adapted to different applications. The option of reducing the gas flow to economy flame mode also offers an additional level of safety, as the appliance can continue to flame with minimum gas consumption during idle phases. As DIN 30665 stipulates that the gas flow at the burner itself must not be switched off 100%, it is important to shut off the gas supply centrally to ensure complete shutdown.

Core technical features

- Optional operation with natural gas or propane gas
- Reaches temperatures of up to 1530 °C (natural gas) or 1550 °C (propane gas)
- Consumption for natural gas approx. 110 l/h and for propane gas approx. 55 l/h
- Load values: 1.25 kW (natural gas) and 1.5 kW (propane gas)
- High precision thanks to threaded air regulation and integrated gas tap
- Stable stand thanks to 265 g weight and 155 mm height
- Tube diameter of 14 mm and head diameter of 17 mm

Optionally, this burner is also available with an adhesive foot device, which can be requested for an additional charge. In addition, various versions are available in accordance with standard 30665, for example for DIN natural gas or DIN propane gas, each labelled with DIN-DVGW reg. no. NG-2211AN0133. Thanks to its robust construction, the burner is durable and designed for long-term use in professional facilities.

Special features

A key advantage is the integrated pilot flame, which is kept active directly on the burner when the gas flow is reduced via the needle valve. This offers greater ease of use: during short breaks in work, the burner does not have to be shut down completely so that it can be immediately brought back up to full heat. This combination of gas tap and precise air regulation ensures outstanding flame quality and offers a constant safety reserve in laboratory operation.

In addition, if required, the burner designs comply with important safety and quality standards such as DIN 30665, which ensures that the model fulfils the required guidelines in terms of flame shape, ignition behaviour and gas tightness. Comparable products on the market often do not offer the same robustness and accuracy in flame control.Examples of applications

- Sterilisation of microbiology instruments by contact with the flame
- Carrying out chemical syntheses, for example when heating reagents such as copper sulphate or potassium chloride
- Heating samples for drying or ash determination in analytical laboratories
- Demonstration of flame colouring in didactic use, e.g. with lithium chloride or sodium chloride

A precisely controllable heat source is crucial for these tasks in order to be able to carry out exact work steps and achieve reproducible results.

FAQs

Can this burner be switched off completely?

According to standard 30665, there is no provision for switching off the burner itself completely. A small flame remains, so the main shut-off in the laboratory should be used to completely cut off the gas supply.

Which gas is recommended

The burner can be operated with natural gas or propane gas. Natural gas reaches a maximum temperature of 1530 °C, propane gas even 1550 °C. The choice depends on the existing gas connection and the required temperatures.

What exactly does the economy flame mean?

The pilot flame is a small, continuously burning flame that is created when the gas flow is reduced via the needle valve. It enables a quick switchover to full flame power.

Is an adhesive foot absolutely necessary?

The adhesive foot is available as an option and provides additional stability. It can be useful in areas with increased safety requirements or when working with heavy glass or metal structures.

Conclusion

This torch scores points with its robust design, constant heat output and standard-compliant safety. Users who require targeted work with different types of gas benefit from the precise air supply and the reliable pilot flame. Thanks to its high manufacturing quality, practical design and compliance with important DIN standards, the appliance is recommended for demanding laboratory environments where precise heat sources are essential.

Q: Saves time

A: This reason might be the most obvious, but it’s a clear benefit of an FAQ page. Not only does the FAQ page save customers time, but it also saves employees time as well. Having an FAQ page ensures customers don’t have to sit on the phone for hours waiting for simple answers, and employees don’t have to individually answer all questions.

Q: Earns trust

A: Information is available at the click of a button, but as we all know, information is not always true. Because of this, customers are more skeptical than ever before. They hunt for products by sifting through reviews, looking at the product on multiple websites, and doing price checking across the internet.

Q: Provides new insights

A: It’s difficult to get into the head of a shopper. Some buy on impulse, and others buy after thorough research. By tracking the clicks on your FAQ page, you can gather insights about your product or service that you didn’t know before. You can then inform your product team of these insights. From there, the product team can make changes to improve the product or experience.

Q: Drives internal page views

A: If you want your FAQ to be extremely thorough, which it should be, you can link to resources within your FAQ for your customers to find out more information. Whether you link to a blog that goes into more detail or a product page, this content helps the shoppers get the full story before making a purchase.

A: Prevents negative reviews

A: When looking through negative reviews, there’s almost always one thing in common: the problem could’ve been avoided.
