This heavy duty blade for use during Post Mortem procedures fits the PM40 Stainless, PM40 Standard or PM40 Plated Handles.

• Sealed individually in trays
• Carries a graduated measure on the reverse of the handle (for indication only)  to mirror our range of metal stainless handles
• Marked with the CE symbol which previously only appeared on the outer product packaging.
• Individually packaged into a new transparent thermo formed tray providing improved product visibility and developed to assist in safe passing techniques.
• When peeling the packet the seal changes colour thus indicating if the integrity of the packet has been breached and assuring the user of sterility up to the point of usage.

In addition to the traditional Swann-Morton single-use blade remover, we have recently introduced a blade remover unit (BRU) which will hold up to 100 blades and is ideal for use within the GP practice, for a Chiropodist both in their surgery and whilst making domiciliary visits and for Vets whilst out in the field Combining simplicity of operation with safety during use.

It can suit those less confident blade users and especially those working in areas where a sharps disposal facility is not immediately available. Trying to extend the life of this device by trying to remove the contaminated blades from them is strongly discouraged as they are designed as a device solely for the removal of blades and not for long term sharps storage.

The No.11 is an elongated triangular blade sharpened along the hypotenuse edge and with a strong pointed tip making it ideal for stab incisions. Used in various procedures such as the creation of incisions for chest drains, opening coronary arteries, opening the aorta and removing calcifications in the aortic or mitral valves. The No.11 blades fit Handles 3, 3L, 3 Graduated, 5B, 7, 9, B3 and B3L.

No 14 Carbon Sterile Blades - Box of 100

New to the range for 2018 and commonly referred to as the "butter blade" the 10R can be used in Aesthetic procedures such as "Dermaplaning" which helps to "refinish" the skin's top layers through a method of controlled surgical scraping which exfoliates the epidermis.

Shorter and more rounded than the 14 it is ideal for getting into smaller more restricted areas of the face and the rounded (bull nose) tip prevents any accidental snagging thus providing a more effective and consistent finish.

The No.10 blade with its curved cutting edge is one of the more traditional blade shapes and is used generally for making small incisions in skin and muscle. The No.10 is often utilised in more specialised surgeries such as for harvesting the radial artery during a coronary artery bypass operation, opening the bronchus during thoracic surgery and for Inguinal hernia repair. The No.10 fits Handles 3, 3L, 3 Graduated, 5B, 7, 9, B3 and B3L.
