Carl Reiner TwinStream™ Jet Ventilator
Share
Carl Reiner TwinStream™ is a specialist jet ventilator designed for procedures where the airway is shared between the surgeon and anaesthetist. It is used in complex airway, thoracic and interventional procedures where access, visibility and control of respiratory motion are critical.
Clinical Purpose
The TwinStream™ platform supports high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV) and Superimposed High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (S-HFJV™). The system is intended for shared-airway procedures in laryngotracheal surgery, interventional pulmonology and thoracic surgery, as well as procedures where respiratory motion needs to be reduced in interventional radiology, cardiology and urology.
Key Features
- Specialist jet ventilator for shared airway procedures
- Supports high-frequency jet ventilation from 50 to 1500/min
- Supports normal-frequency ventilation from 1 to 100/min
- Superimposed HFJV™ combines high-frequency and normal-frequency ventilation
- Designed to provide oxygenation and CO₂ elimination during appropriate procedures
- Helps reduce respiratory motion in thoracic and abdominal interventional procedures
- Supports single-jet HFJV and double-jet S-HFJV™ configurations
- Laser Safe Mode (LSM) to support airway laser procedures by controlling oxygen concentration
- Automatic pressure alarm
- Airway pressure and gas monitoring options depending on configuration
Single Jet HFJV Configuration
- High-frequency jet ventilation
- Fully accessible airway for the surgical field
- Supports use with 1/2-lumen jet catheters
- Pause pressure monitoring
- Gas monitoring in the airway
- Laser Safe Mode
- Automatic pressure alarm
Double Jet S-HFJV™ Configuration
- High-frequency jet ventilation plus normal-frequency jet ventilation
- Designed for oxygenation and CO₂ elimination
- Supports customised jet endoscopes and 3/4-lumen jet catheters
- Supports PIP, PEEP and MAP monitoring
- Gas monitoring in the airway
- Laser Safe Mode and automatic pressure alarm
Typical Clinical Applications
- Laryngotracheal surgery, including tumour resection, polyp removal, cyst removal and stenosis procedures
- Tubeless supraglottic jet ventilation where surgical access and visibility are important
- Interventional pulmonology including rigid bronchoscopy, laser surgery, electrocautery, cryotherapy, argon plasma coagulation, stent placement, EBUS and foreign-body removal
- Thoracic surgery including tracheal, carinal, pleural, lobe or lung resections
- Single-lung ventilation workflows using compatible converters and catheters
- Interventional radiology procedures such as tumour ablation where respiratory motion reduction is required
- Interventional cardiology procedures such as radiofrequency ablation where catheter stability may be important
- Interventional urology procedures such as shock-wave lithotripsy where reduced respiratory motion can support accurate targeting

Q: Saves time
A: This reason might be the most obvious, but it’s a clear benefit of an FAQ page. Not only does the FAQ page save customers time, but it also saves employees time as well. Having an FAQ page ensures customers don’t have to sit on the phone for hours waiting for simple answers, and employees don’t have to individually answer all questions.
Q: Earns trust
A: Information is available at the click of a button, but as we all know, information is not always true. Because of this, customers are more skeptical than ever before. They hunt for products by sifting through reviews, looking at the product on multiple websites, and doing price checking across the internet.
Q: Provides new insights
A: It’s difficult to get into the head of a shopper. Some buy on impulse, and others buy after thorough research. By tracking the clicks on your FAQ page, you can gather insights about your product or service that you didn’t know before. You can then inform your product team of these insights. From there, the product team can make changes to improve the product or experience.
Q: Drives internal page views
A: If you want your FAQ to be extremely thorough, which it should be, you can link to resources within your FAQ for your customers to find out more information. Whether you link to a blog that goes into more detail or a product page, this content helps the shoppers get the full story before making a purchase.
A: Prevents negative reviews
A: When looking through negative reviews, there’s almost always one thing in common: the problem could’ve been avoided.
