Nabertherm Rotary Kilns for Batch Operation up to 1100 °C, Models RSRB 80-500/11 - RSRB 120-1000/11
The compact rotary kilns of the RSRB series are ideally suited for batch operation. The permanent rotation of the working tube ensures that the batch is constantly in motion. The special shape of the quartz glass reactor with the tapered tube ends keeps the charge in the furnace and allows it to be heat treated for any length of time; controlled heating according to temperature profiles is also possible.
- Tmax 1100 °C
- Thermocouple type K
- Housing made of textured stainless steel sheets
- Tube furnace designed as a table-top model with quartz glass reactor open on both sides, tapered at the ends
- Reactor is removed from the furnace for emptying. Very easy removal due to beltless drive and hinged furnace housing (opening temperature < 180 °C)
- Infinitely variable drive from approx. 2-45 rpm
- Switchgear separate from the tube furnace with controller in separate wall or floor cabinet
- NTLog Basic for Nabertherm controller: recording of process data with USB stick
Additional equipment
- Three-zone control to optimise temperature uniformity
- Display of temperature in working tube with measurement via additional thermocouple
- Batch control via additional thermocouple in the working tube
- Different gassing systems with good flushing of the batch with process gas by inlet on one side and outlet on the other side of the tube
- Gas-tight rotary feedthrough for connecting the rotating reactor to a gas supply system
- Non-return valve at the gas outlet prevents the ingress of false air
- Vacuum version, up to 10-2 mbar depending on the pump used
- Reactor made of quartz glass, open on both sides, with dimples for better mixing of the charge in the tube
- Package for simplified charging and discharging of the working tube in the following design:
- Mixing reactor made of quartz glass with integrated paddle for better mixing of the charge, closed on one side, large opening on the other side.
- Left/right tilting mechanism. For filling and heat treatment, the furnace is tilted to the right against the stop so that the charge is conveyed into the rotary kiln. For emptying, the furnace is tilted to the other side to convey the powder out of the reactor again. Removal of the reactor is no longer necessary.
- Rotary kiln mounted on base frame with integrated switchgear and controller, including transport rollers
- Process control and documentation via VCD software package or Nabertherm Control Center NCC for monitoring, documentation and control
